Merry Christmas from our house to yours, from sunny Tucson Arizona !
Fellow Gearheads: If you are looking for a house in the Boston urban area where you can house your car collection, we are selling our home in Somerville: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/280-Broadway-APT-7-Somerville-MA-02145/118192811_zpid/ The ground floor of the house has 1408 sqft of workshop space that is heated, insulated, has great lighting and windows, 110 V and 220 V power, hot and cold water, and can park 5 cars (6+ if you put in lifts)!!! The outside parking lot has room to park an additional 6 cars. This property was a gearhead wonderland for us (you will see our car projects in the pictures) and may be for one of you, too. There are open houses on Thursday 10/15 and Sunday 10/18. Happy wrenching!
Hey Larz Anderson, I recently watch a video posted by the WGBH Archives that showed the Museum/Congress Street Wharf and Hood Milk Bottle in 1979. What surprised me was a sign that said "Congress Street Wharf, future home of The Children's Museum and Museum of Transportation." It was at the 0:13 mark. Did Larz Anderson briefly move there or open a small satellite location in that building? Or was there a plan to do either that later got scrapped? Link to the video: https://www.facebook.com/GBHArchives/videos/340966183938147

Larz Anderson Community: If you live in the Boston area and are interested in having a house close to the city, and that is also big enough for a workshop and to hold your car collection, I wanted to make you aware of this listing: https://www.seetheproperty.com/story/357344/b We have lived here for the past 8 years and very much enjoyed the 2 huge workshop/garage bays with heat, insulation, 220 V power, and hot/cold water, as well as the 6 parking spaces. You will see in the pictures that the garages are even big enough to fit our Unimog. Please share with anyone who may be interested.
