1895 Montparnasse, Paris

The Montparnasse derailment occurred at 16:00 on 22 October 1895 when the Granville–Paris Express overran the buffer stop at its Gare Montparnasse terminus. With the train several minutes late and the engineer trying to make up for lost time, it entered the station too fast and the train air brake failed to stop it.

I bought my 2006 Mustang GT convertible in 2010 with 7000 miles on it. So much fun to drive!
Our happy fleet: Track Car: 1996 M3 Family Car: 2016 328 Wagon Sports Car: 2019 M2 Competition (Little guy is already learning to drive stick 🙂 )
I’m the 32-years owner/curator of this 1967 Volvo 1800S, SN 023621. The coupe was raced from new in SCCA F-Production by 1st owner, Dr. Charles Urschel of Newton MA. I bought it from 2nd owner Frank Wilder in ‘87 after he retired it from racing in ‘76. Car has front park lenses from Frank’s original red ‘64 1800S, which he totaled at Bryar, NH. After an extensive 5-year body restoration, by Jay Herbster, I updated chassis with a full Volvo Competition Service kit and Steffanson Watts link. Duane Matejka of R-Sport Engineering provided Wilwood discs, modified front cross-member and a tubular front sway bar. I’ve added a full interior with Recaro seats and new wiring harness from VP-Autoparts. Julian Miller of Sublime Restorations repainted entire undercarriage and interior Imron Wimbledon white, with exterior in Volvo 601 Red. Fun fact: Julian also painted 1966 LeMans”Winner” #2 GT-40.
That’s a nice one!
