Walter Robinson once admitted to Carlo McCormick that he had to temporarily fall in love with each subject he painted. As painful as that might have been, it is probably also the reason why he would return to those subjects over and over again ๐๐ซถ
His thematically-produced works can often fall into categories like still-lifes, norm-core, and romance paintings. Walter took a compassionate approach to many of the objects we often look past in life such as a Wendyโs Baconator or a Landโs End ad.
Whatever Walter painted, his lust-filled strokes brimming off the canvas are what make the paintings so joyful and impossible to look away from.
