Against all reasonable advice, we opened twelve floors of a historic office tower and filled them with artists, musicians, publishers, makers, collectors, authors, zinesters, oddities, books, clothing, and thousands of curious people.

And somehow it worked.

Thank you to every vendor, artist, visitor, volunteer, staff member, crew member, and security guard who helped make the first possible.

Special thanks to building owner, Paul, for believing in us and the vision, and to for sharing extraordinary art.

For one day, an office tower became a place of discovery.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up and made it happen.

This is what the end of a good day looks like.

After months of planning, hundreds of vendors, thousands of visitors, twelve floors, countless books, and more stairs than any reasonable person should climb in a single day, our founder, Josh Spencer. finally called it a night.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, explored, supported artists, bought books, got lost, found something unexpected, and helped make the first Spring Arts Tower Takeover an incredible success.

A special thank you to our staff, security team, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes who kept the building running, answered questions, solved problems, and somehow made it all look easy.

We’re tired.

Be a vendor at the first-ever Spring Arts Tower Takeover! If you haven’t heard yet, The Last Bookstore is taking over all of the unoccupied space in its historic downtown building to create a multi-floor pop-up market experience. Apply now to become one of the inaugural vendors at this first-of-its-kind event on Saturday, June 13. ​
We have already had 120+ vendors reserve spaces, but we’re looking for even more! There are still one or two spots left in the bookstore itself, and plenty of room in the upper floors of the Spring Arts Tower. Prices go up $50 on June 1, so don’t wait to secure your spot!

Remember when The Last Bookstore downtown stayed open late every night? Date nights, post-show wandering, getting lost in the stacks until closing.
Late nights are back!

Starting tonight, Friday May 15, our downtown location will now be open until 11PM every Wednesday–Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday hours remain until 8PM, except for ticketed and members-only after-hours events.

Downtown location only…for now.
