♨️NEW ART SHOW COMING IN HOT♨️

Last Saturday, artists Aleah, Khan, and Jacob, as well as our executive directors Micah and Natasha, spoke at the new show over at 6th Floor Project ArtBank in McCook! Live Yes Studios artists have work on display at the ArtBank until the end of October. Thank you to all the visitors from all over the state who joined us for the opening this past weekend. Come see this show! It is a must-see and uplifting experience of art as self-determination and beautiful means for creating open, inclusive & engaged community. 🩷

Want to work in a creative, fun environment? We’re hiring for Art Instructors!

LYS is a nonprofit corporation ran by artists, for artists, for the benefit of all. Monday through Friday LYS supports disabled artists through creative expression, representation and community partnerships. LYS offers a professional studio environment and hires local artists to teach classes specializing in Fine and Performing Arts. Instructors aid in the pursuit of each artist’s creative desires, passions, ideas and interests while aiding artists in activities of daily living.

Qualifications
Preferred: MFA
Required: BFA

Benefits
- All LYS employees receive paid Earned Time Off and Sick Time.
- Employees working 30+ hours receive health insurance.

Yesterday the artists had the opportunity to take a break from making art and go fishing! It’s officially summer over at the studio and LYS took a trip over to Branched Oak. Branched Oak Marina donated minnows and Nebraska Games and Parks gave our group fishing permits. A blast was had by all! 🎣 ☀️

Live Yes Studios has been hosting art shows for LYS artists since 2011 which feature both group and solo exhibitions. Group exhibitions showcase the work produced from the visual art classes taught by LYS instructors. The solo exhibitions showcase the artists’ self-directed body of work. Each solo show the artist assists our Gallery Manager in how they want their work presented.

Since 2011, LYS has displayed over 120 artists’ work while hosting 126 exhibitions, participating in 46 community exhibitions across 8 states.

In 2018 LYS created a community gallery to host fellow community artists from Lincoln and the surrounding areas. Their work is shown alongside artists working at LYS. Community artists are also invited to give a short artist lecture or workshop related to their process. All artist lectures, workshops, and art shows are always free and open to the public.

At Live Yes Studios, our mission is supporting disabled artists in creative expression, representation and community partnerships.

In 2011, LYS opened in Lincoln, Nebraska as a program under a large nonprofit based in Philadelphia, PA. Without a gap in programming, LYS separated from its parent company and opened as a Nebraska-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation on July 1, 2024.

Live Yes Studios, Inc. is the only progressive art studio in Nebraska, specializing in fine and performing arts instruction. Monday through Friday, we support adults (19+) with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) from Lincoln and surrounding areas. Employing local artists, LYS instructors create an inclusive, professional studio environment to foster creative careers, promote professional development, and provide exhibition opportunities. In 2023, LYS was recognized for its quality arts programming and received the Mayor’s Arts Award for Most Outstanding Arts Organization.
