Calling all chefs! Register now for our Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️ Here’s a little inspiration from a past chili cook-off before you bring your own recipe to this year’s competition! Share your chili with the community and compete for Myrtie’s Best Chili Champion and the People’s Choice Award.

MOAH’s Fall season exhibitions are now open to the public following a vibrant Opening Celebration that featured activities inspired by Chicano cultural practices and the new exhibition “Barrio Science: Chicanismo and Speculative Experiments in Art.” Artists featured in the exhibition shared personal stories and insights into the significance of their work, offering guests a deeper connection to the art on view. 🎉

Two additional exhibitions also opened: “David Alabo: I found us in the future…” and “Daisy Patton: Flowers, Fruits, and Birds.” Thank you to all of our artists and guests who made the Opening Celebration memorable. 🌺🌕

Ahead of the Antelope Valley Walls™ 10-Year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 17, artists will spend one week painting 10 vibrant new sites across Lancaster! 🖌️🎨

Event attendees can discover these new murals while enjoying an evening of food, live music, interactive activities, and info on where to locate them. The festivities will be centered at MOAH:CEDAR, where visitors can also explore the retrospective exhibition “Art Where We Are: Celebrating 10 Years of Antelope Valley Walls™.” 🎉

Thank you to everyone who stopped by artist Felicia ‘Fe’ Montes’ Botanica del Barrio mobile medicine cart at the BLVD Market! 🌿

Montes brought the cart to The BLVD for visitors to explore herbs, home remedies, and healing traditions passed down through families.

See the cart again at MOAH as part of our current exhibition, “Barrio Science: Chicanismo and Speculative Experiments in Art,” on view through January 3, 2027.

Come check out the mobile medicine cart at MOAH! 👀🎨💊This mobile medicine cart on display at our Botanica del Barrio" Activation aims to involve community members in the education, dialogue, documentation, and practice of wellness remedies, healing recipes, and herb and plant uses found in ancestral medicine.

Join MOAH and "Barrio Science" artist Felicia ‘Fe’ Montes on The BLVD as she activates her social practice project, Botanica del Barrio. Participants are invited to learn and share about remedies, medicinal herbs, and healing traditions passed down to them. The roving Botanica will be on The BLVD during The BLVD Market from 4 to 6 p.m.
