Opening this Friday at the KSU Downtown Gallery!

"The Good, The Bad, and The Rest of Us" by Eileen Woods, Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026 in the KSU Downtown Gallery, located at 141 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio. There will be a reception on Sept. 4 from 5-7 p.m.

"The Good, The Bad, and The Rest Of Us" challenges our instinct to read morality or character in faces. Through hand embroidery integrated into sheer silk, or cosmic or floral fabrics, I render portraits of individuals whose lives defy visual expectation—killers who might pass for librarians, spies with gentle eyes, saints with hardened features, victims whose demeanor seems fearless.

Best of 2026
August 25th - October 7*, 2026
Reception: Friday, August 28'h, 5-7 p.m.

The exhibition was organized by the Ohio Design Craftsmen. The Ohio Designer Craftsmen is a statewide organization that engages and enriches the community through high-quality exhibitions, education programs, and supports/promotes the professional development of fine craft artists. This year's exhibition was juried by Carol Sauvion, creator of the Peabody-award-winning PBS series, Craft in America, and the recently retired executive director of the Craft in America organization.
They selected 73 works in clay, glass, metal, wood, fiber and mixed media from nearly 400 entries.Thirteen artists received awards of excellence.
