Hello Artists!

This is an invitation to join CRANES on PARADE 4, help raise money for worthwhile projects (4 Kearney Non-Profits in Need will share the proceeds to help the people of the Kearney Area) and create a permanent Art Piece displayed on City Streets in Kearney, Ne.

The challenge – Creatively Painting 2 (back-to-back) 5 Ft. Aluminum Cranes that the City of Kearney Will Mount on Light poles by the Business Sponsors Location. Your will be paid $500 to creatively paint or decorate and be helping to serve the people in need in the Kearney Area.

INTERESTED? Find the attached template to submit your ideas for your pair of cranes, any theme is welcome except for political, profane or pornographic. Also, find the application, purpose statement and a PowerPoint that give more information on the project.

Figure Drawing: Clothed Studies

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at figure drawing? Want a little artistic refresher? Our live figure drawing event is designed to meet every artist where they are. Participants will draw a live, clothed model in an open studio format. The session begins with quick gesture sketches, moves into longer studies, and ends with a final pose for a completed drawing. This event is open to all skill levels, but the focus of this workshop is to practice proportion, gesture, movement, and perspective. Come join us for an opportunity to grow your artistic skills!

- No instruction
- Open to individuals age 15 and up
- Easels, benches, boards, and tables are provided. Please bring drawing paper/sketchbooks and drawing materials of your choice.
- Cost: $15 members / $20 non-members
