Kearney Art in the Park! 🎨🌿

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by my booth, shared a conversation, asked questions, and supported my work.

It was a fantastic day, and I truly enjoyed connecting with so many wonderful people and sharing my passion for fine art photography. 📸✨

This year’s booth had a fresh new look, and it was exciting to showcase a collection of never-before-seen fine art photography alongside some of my newest creations. Seeing your reactions and hearing what each image meant to you made the day even more rewarding.

King John’s Castle in Limerick, Ireland.

Built in 1200 by King John of England to protect the city, this medieval fortress sits on the edge of the River Shannon.

I took this picture on September 7, 1994, on black and white film when I was backpacking through Europe. It was one of the first pictures I took on that adventure. In 1998, when I was at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, I used a computer and a brand new program called Photoshop to add color to it.

When I graduated, this image was part of my award-winning senior portfolio, and it has always remained one of my favorite images. 😀

As Election Day approaches, I am remembering my visit to Monticello just a year ago, and Thomas Jefferson's words in our Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."

Jefferson designed and re-designed his home, Monticello, many times during his life. Just like America to this day, Jefferson was constantly striving for improvement.

Welcome to September, Facebook Friends & Family! 💛

I just love this picture of the sunset over the mountains, photographed south of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, August 8, 2023, and I am so grateful to be able to share it with you.

Last year I was driving from one work location to another, from Reno, Nevada, to Oakdale, California, and I deliberately chose to take the scenic route. I was rewarded with one gorgeous view after another as I drove from east to west chasing after the sun.

In the final few fleeting moments before it slipped below the horizon, the words from Robert Frost's poem immediately came to mind: "Nothing Gold Can Stay."
