I often get asked about the huge “cake chandelier”, with teeth, hanging from the ceiling, in the center of the museum. So, this morning, I’ll post the story of the artist, the chandeliers pick up, our hanging process, all that admired it and a bit about Scott’s talent and creations! It stated with a friend Katie sending me a text from Amsterdam, that Scott had to vacate his studio/home from Amsterdam, within a few days and was giving this huge chandelier and another art piece away. I immediately called him and said I’d be over with the museum transport, after breakfast. Others wanted it, but we’re trying to figure out a way to mine it. I now have two other such chandeliers (but much smaller, in my home in Hollywood, CA).

A number of years ago, this used to be in the museum, but ended up being taken out when I brought in the 1912 Fiat. Just went through it. It does have the web site for “The Collectors Museum” on the front doors. Wonder the thoughts, when someone sees the RV and goes to the museum site. Yay, the electrical is done! Spent the last week, after 25 years, Burningman use, time to do some rewiring and creating cool effects, while replacing the lasers with LEDS (some events have banned lasers). It’s basics, it’s a 1975 Ford chassis, fully solar powered, to there huge batteries, no plugs needed, fully powers itself. When I park next weekend, at “The Ten Mile Creek Revival”, in Laytonville, CA., I’ll add the bubble machines, (can’t drive down the highway, with them on the roof). Going with pals, for three days of fun!

A switch from the working on the antique and classic cars, to replacing the radiator in my “art”, 1975 Ford Eldorado RV, which I used for “Burningman, which I stopped attending a year ago (ever been, do you have pictures, you want to share here?). It’s now used for art fairs and music events . It shoots lasers, has collectibles all over it, blows bubbles, is a 100% solar powered, with a huge battery bank, which powers everything. Mechanically a 460 cubic inch, Ford engine and an added “Gear Vendors” overdrive. I had no helpers in removing, so I made a lift, from a ladder, in order to remove the radiator. I had helpers putting in the new one, imagine lining up the bolt holes alone! This used to be in the museum years ago, was a real hit, but moved it to Oregon, which is far away from supper equipped shop.

A lot of history on the latest! 142 mph was quite a lot in 1959! Same owner, 65 years. I was able to find a pair of front ties, same tread and manufacturer as the originals went on today. The last photo, isn’t the same car, but I like the shot, from the magazine, which write up the previous owner and builder. Sometimes, when you’re going sooo fast, when you’re pulled over, you need the parachute!

Let's have coffee and talk cars! You know, I seem to have all the boxes set correctly, so you can post about your car, your collections and what you want to share, hobby related, but you can’t! My goal is to resolve this, so you can!. This is rater than commenting on a post I put up, I've been trying to correct this for a couple YEARS!! If I go to a site, where members can't contribute, beyond comments to a moderator's posts, I don't bother with it. Next week, I am going camping, with a friend , who has an RV adventures, travel site and she said, she could correct this for me/you/us. Yay! So, soon you will be able to post and share your interest's, on the museums wall, not just as a comment, related to one of my posts.
