The Houston Fire Museum engages, educates, and enlightens the community on the importance of fire and life safety, and preserves the history and heritage of Houston's diverse fire service. The Historic Fire Station No. 7 structure is currently closed while Houston Fire Museum works on its historical preservation. We remain open as a gift shop just a few blocks south of the museum at 3219 Milam St.

Unfortunately we are not able to host birthday parties, field trips, or tours at our temporary location, nor do we have a play area.

The Houston Fire Department is asking our members and the Houston community to join us in supporting Probationary Firefighter Carleon Jones and his family as he remains hospitalized in critical condition following an off-duty medical emergency Wednesday evening.

Jones graduated from the HFD Training Academy on July 23 as a member of Cadet Class 2026 Bravo and is assigned to Fire Station 20, A Shift.

“Carleon is one of our newest firefighters, but he is already part of the HFD family, and right now that family is surrounding him and everyone who loves him,” Fire Chief Thomas Muñoz said. “In the Houston Fire Department, we take care of our own. Carleon and his family have the full support of the department, and we will continue to be there for them in the days ahead.”

Carleon and his family are not facing this alone. Members of his crew, Command Staff and the Firefighter Support Network are by their side, making sure they have the support and resources they need.

The HFD family is with Carleon and his family in the days ahead.
