Play teaches us some of our very first friendship skills. 💛

How to share space.
How to take turns.
How to laugh together.
How to express ourselves without needing the “right” words.
How to connect over something simple and joyful.

Sometimes starts with a conversation. Sometimes it starts with “Want to play with me?”

That’s why play matters so much — it gives kids a low-pressure way to build , practice , and discover that they’re not alone. ✨

Making new friends can feel really big when you’re a kid. 💛

That’s something we explore in our graphic novel through Daisy’s story. She’s creative, curious, and kind — but connecting with new people doesn’t always come easily for her. And honestly, that’s such a normal part of growing up.

We’ve seen how play can help break the ice in ways words sometimes can’t. Sitting side-by-side mixing slime, sharing textures, laughing over a messy moment — it creates small openings for connection without so much pressure.

Some friendships start with a simple “Can I try that slime?” ✨

We love creating spaces where kids feel the freedom to explore, play, and connect at their own pace.

Play isn’t just fun for kids—it’s important for , emotional regulation, creativity, and connection. In a world that moves so fast, moments of play can help both children and adults slow down, reset, and be present together.

Whether it’s stretching slime after a long day, laughing through a moment, or simply taking a break from screens, play creates space for self-expression and relief at any age. 💖

At Sloomoo Institute, we believe play has real value—and sometimes the smallest moments of joy can make the biggest difference.

There’s something about play that opens kids up. Maybe it’s the freedom to be imperfect, or the way gathering around a shared love of a bubble. We see it every day: kids learning to share, to collaborate, to express how they feel, and to connect with each other in real ways.

These are the themes that live in our graphic novel, where , self-expression, and social-emotional growth take center stage. The book evokes the playfulness of what Sloomoo is about as well as the realness. Slime on…

We think a lot about what makes a moment meaningful, and it usually comes back to the same thing: being present together. Getting a little messy, laughing without overthinking it, and letting play take over for a while are the ingredients that make memories stick. It’s simple, and it’s also what lasts.
