Harrison Central High School’s AP U.S. History class wrapped up the school year with a visit to the Sixth Street Museum District! Students explored the rich history and culture of our community by touring the African American Military History Museum, the Oseola McCarty House Museum, the Historic Eureka School, and Smith Drug Company. They also stopped by one of the Green Book Historical Markers, gaining a deeper understanding of the stories that shaped our region and nation.

From local history to powerful lessons of resilience, service, philanthropy, entrepreneurship and education, the students took advantage of the many things the District has to offer. A perfect way to close out a school year! Enjoy your summer!
