You all had some GREAT points about my back-of-the-napkin math in Part 1. Recovery time, follow-up costs, still needing bras afterward… apparently my little spreadsheet opened quite the can of worms. 😂

But one assumption really had me curious:

Are we actually replacing bras every 6–12 months?

Three fittings. Lots of adjustments. And one very enthusiastic “WE GOT IT!” 🥹

I recently worked with a client to create a bra pattern adapted for her unilateral mastectomy. It was a new fitting challenge for me, and we definitely didn't get it right on the first try!

But that's one of my favorite things about patternmaking. Sometimes the solution isn't finding a different size—it's figuring out how to make the pattern work for the person wearing it.

This started as one of those random “huh, I wonder…” questions.

Several calculations later, I had more questions than answers. 😂

For the record: spreadsheets are excellent for bra math. Medical decisions? Not so much.

This is a cost comparison born entirely from curiosity—not medical advice or an argument for or against breast reduction surgery.

Apparently there’s a “we love the Lusamine bra” club now. And honestly, this made my day.
bradders made her first Lusamine last year, had some very lovely things to say about the fit and instructions... and then she made another.
And another.
And another. 💕

So when I spotted her welcoming another maker into the “we love the Lusamine bra club” this week, I couldn't resist sharing. Thank you, Clare, for letting me share your gorgeous makes—and for apparently starting a club while you were at it. 😂

What happens when a lingerie designer takes a videography class? Her creative worlds start colliding. 😂

For my first stop-motion experiment, I raided the studio: an old photography prop, lingerie scraps for the beach, leftover Wonder Woman cosplay paint, and basically every piece of jewelry I could find.

And naturally, the treasure had to be lingerie. 💜

Apparently my concert outfit needed an engineering department. ✨

One prototype, an actual concert field test, a trip to , and a bit of stash-diving later… we had LIGHTS. 💜

The Fall Bra Fit Masterclass is officially SOLD OUT!

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who registered, shared the class, joined the waitlist, or simply followed along. Getting to teach something I care so deeply about—and seeing so many of you equally excited to dig into the why behind bra fit—means more than I can say.

Thank you for continuing to trust me with your bra-making and fit journey. I can't wait to meet this new group in October!

You can sew a beautiful bra and still have absolutely no idea why it doesn't fit.

Ask me how I know.

Most of us learned how to choose a size, follow a pattern, and make adjustments along the way. But understanding how wire type, center gore shape, cup rotation, band tension, torso shape, inner fullness—and the rest of the body—work together?

That's an entirely different skill.

It's the fit system most of us were never taught.

And it's exactly what we explore in the Bra Fit Masterclass.

For eight weeks, we meet LIVE online to dig into the why behind bra fit, ask questions, troubleshoot together, and learn how to approach each unique body with a little less guessing and a lot more understanding.
