Well what a ride that was!!
My little adventure in America’s Favorite Photos has officially come to an end, finishing 3rd in the semifinals in Round Four of Five! And while I didn’t make the finals, I’m walking away with a pretty full heart.
This was my first photography competition in over 20 years. Yes….it’s been that long since I’ve put my work out there in this way and what started as simply taking a chance on one of my photographs turned into something pretty special.
Photography has always been a part of who I am. It’s how I see the world, find beauty in unexpected places, and share a little piece of myself with others.
To everyone who voted, shared, and cheered me on, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant more than you know. 🤎
I may not be bringing home the title but I’m walking away with a little more confidence and a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Not a bad comeback after almost 20 years. 🥹📸

We’ve climbed into 3RD PLACE in the semifinals of America’s Favorite Photos! Only ONE photo moves on to the finals and these are the two we’re chasing! 👀😵‍💫
We’ve come this far… can we pull off one last comeback?! 🤞
Voting closes TONIGHT at 10 PM Eastern!

Okay, friends… I might need to call in the reinforcements for real this time. 📸
The semifinals of America’s Favorite Photos are proving to be a tough crowd!
My photograph is currently sitting in 4th place and only ONE photo from each group gets a ticket to the finals! 👀
We’ve made it this far and I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet!
Voting closes Monday night, so if you’ve got a minute to spare, I’d love a little help getting Boho Hue up that leaderboard!

Well, I guess you guys aren’t tired of me yet!
Because thanks to all of you, BOHO HUE IS HEADED TO THE SEMIFINALS!!! 🤩🎉
I’m over here watching my little photography adventure turn into something pretty darn exciting and now we’re just one round away from the finals!
This round runs until OCT 19th! And only THE TOP 1st advance to the Finals.
And wouldn’t you know it… today is DOUBLE VOTE DAY! So your votes pack twice the punch! I don’t know how this story ends but I’m sure having fun finding out!

Things are getting interesting in the quarterfinals of America’s Favorite Photos!!
My photo is currently sitting in 2ND PLACE, and here’s the exciting part…
ONLY THE TOP TWO from each group advance to the SEMIFINALS!
We’re right where we need to be, but there’s still time for those rankings to change! 👀

This one had me looking twice.
Built straight through the floors, wrapped in old wire mesh and still sitting there after who knows how many years. It appears to be the remains of an early freight lift, once used to haul goods from one level of the building to another.

Whatever traveled through here is long gone. The bones of how this building once worked are still hanging on.
Do you know? 🤷🏼‍♀️

You know thousands of people have climbed these steps, but you’ll never know who they were, what waited for them at the top, or what happened behind the doors when they got there.
Now the building is quiet.

But the stairs are still waiting. 🖤

HELLO QUARTERFINALS!!! 🤩📸
WE MADE IT!!! My photograph has officially advanced to ROUND THREE OF FIVE in America’s Favorite Photos!!
(Only Top 2 of 10 move on this time 🙌🏻)
Two rounds down, three to go! 🎉
AND DOBLE VOTE DAY!!
The competition is narrowing down and we’re getting closer to the finish line! With a whole new group of photographs and votes starting back at zero, we’re back at it again!
Round Three runs October 12th–15th, giving us four days to see if we can secure a spot in the SEMIFINALS!
It’s pretty freaking exciting to have made it this far, especially with so many talented photographers in the competition!
