✨Exciting news: our National Historic Landmark building restoration is in full swing! As you explore our museum, you may notice some changes, this is all part of our commitment to preserving the integrity of our cherished structure for generations to come.

Currently, we are in the process of removing non-original quarter-inch glass from the Showroom windows and replacing it with half-inch tempered glass, ensuring safety, durability, and energy efficiency. Additionally, we're implementing rust inhibitors and copper flashing to further protect our building, the museum's largest artifact. Each window will include a new protective UV film and recreated historic lettering, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey of preservation in motion 🙌

✨ A very special piece of Duesenberg history is currently on the road!

The 1921 Duesenberg Straight Eight (Model A) is listed on the National Historic Vehicle Register, the only federally recognized program that documents America’s most historically significant automobiles and preserves their records in perpetuity at the Library of Congress.

This landmark Duesenberg, born from the brilliance of Frederick and August Duesenberg, pioneers in aviation, marine engines, and championship racing, helped define what “outclass, outrun, and outlast” truly meant in the early automotive world. From its race-derived SOHC inline-eight engine to its advanced hydraulic brakes and custom coachbuilt design, it set a new standard for performance and luxury in 1921.

Today, this extraordinary vehicle is on loan and on display at The Henry Ford through October, where it’s being showcased alongside other defining artifacts of American innovation.

While it isn’t currently on display at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, we see this as something to celebrate an opportunity to share the Duesenberg legacy beyond our walls and invite visitors to experience it in a new setting 🙌

If you’re nearby, go visit our friends at The Henry Ford, say hello to the Duesy, and take in a remarkable chapter of automotive history on loan from Auburn.

We’ll be here when it returns home, but for now, it’s making history where more people can discover it.
