Our Friends at the Dr. Warren Foundation are currently producing a full-length Documentary on Joseph Warren based on the book Founding Martyr: The Life and Death of Dr. Joseph Warren, the American Revolution's Lost Hero by Christian Di Spigna. This is a great project to support and partaking in the Run is a great way to do so.

Join us on Sunday, August 2nd from 12-4 PM at the Fort Plain Museum & Historical Park for Holding Down the Fort. We have a wide variety of events going on throughout the day.

First Tryon County Militia, Colonial Demonstrations with Pete Couser, Scott Pratt and Christina Russell. Meet and greet Johnstown Chapter DAR.

Programs going on throughout the day;
Glen Bentz: 12pm-1P.M.; Life and history of the Haudenosaunee during colonial times. Glen is a long-time reenactor. A member of the First Tryon County Militia. Who has been teaching the ways of Haudenosaunee for many years.

1pm Vice President and trustee of the Fort Plain Museum, Wayne Lenig -"The Year of the Burning: Joseph Brant's Canajohary Raid - August 2, 1780" - Wayne takes a step back in history as he explains the story, and the fight in the frontier for survival.

Scott Reed: Wampum Program on how to make wampum and bead work. Scott tells the history, customs and diplomacy of the Haudenosaunee through my reproductions of their wampum belt. All of Scott’s wampum belts are bead for bead reproductions. He has one belt made with real quahog shell beads. He will demonstrate how to make the beads and how to make the belts.

3 PM- Wreath laying commemoration on the 1780 Raids.
