It's that time of year the Old Jail and Sheriff's house takes a little break from ghost hunts, tours and the haunted house fun. We had an amazing year thanks to everyone who volunteered or came in for an event. It's time to start our 'to do' list so when we open again in 2021 we can invite the public to explore more of this incredible building and it's history. I can't tell you how much the Foundation appreciates the continued support and encouragement to keep history alive !

We hope that this post will clear any rumors about Saturday night for Criminally Insane ~ we do realize the long lines and wait times for everyone attending and appreciate your patience while we try to give every single group a great experience ! Saturday night there was a situation that happened outside in the line. We hire CPPD as security and they advised us to shut down to assure the safety of everyone in line. It was devastating for us to make that decision but safety always comes first. We will honor all tickets purchased for Saturday on any of our remaining nights. We are working with CPPD to make changes and ensure the safety of everyone and make this the best Halloween event for all ! Criminally Insane is in it's 10th year and we appreciate all the support we have gotten over the years and want all your scares to come from us !

10/11/2020

We closed the line off at 930pm due to the line size. Thank you everyone for your cooperation!.

Also it has been brought to our attention there is a lot of line cutting. We try our best to put on a fun environment for everyone. Please be courteous everyone else in line not to cut infront of others. We are trying our very best! Thank you!

Today I attended the Strangest and saddest funeral ever. No obituary, no wake, no church service, no notification to friends or co workers, notification only to four family members. Funeral director said family did not want anyone to know that deceased was to be buried the following day at 11:00 AM. All this for a 93 year old World War ll veteran and oldest retired Lake County Sheriff's Department retired Captain. This is one of our own. RIP Jack.
Best haunted house ever love the first room really scary kids where 😨
