If you have time to share Cedar Lake history with a new generation, we'd love to welcome you to our team this month.

We are poised to welcome the most school kids EVER this month to our steamboat & museum field trip experience ... about 500 third graders ... IF we can secure enough volunteers!

Would YOU consider joining our team to help bring history alive for the youngsters? Field trips are booked for September 9, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. The time commitment is approximately 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on each day (with a few exceptions).

If you are wiling to share Cedar Lake history with the next generation of historians, please message us and/or complete our online inquiry form at lassensresort.org/volunteer

There is no residency requirement. To have your hero honored, please apply at https://lassensresort.app.neoncrm.com/forms/wall-of-honor

The Museum at Lassen's Resort is closed today in observance of Memorial Day. We hope you have enjoyed your weekend and are now pausing to remember the purpose of this annual day of remembrance.

As we announced at our May 7th Season Opening Celebration, in addition to the rotating exhibit room display at the museum this season, we are going to celebrate America’s 250th in another way this year as well.

Heroes Gallery Wall of Honor

During Summerfest Sunday afternoon, we will debut our new Captain Andrew W. Laud Heroes Gallery Wall of Honor. Captain Laud's family has provided the lead gift to develop this exhibit. This permanent display will be installed to recognize the men and women who have served to provide the freedoms that we enjoy today.

If you would like YOUR hero included on this Wall of Honor so that we can honor him or her as our hero too, please complete the application by June 7, 2026. A minimum $75 donation must be made with the application. Applications will also be accepted in person at the museum during normal operating hours if you would like to pay with cash or check. Please contact us with any questions.

Note: Any applications received after June 7, 2026, will be added to the Wall of Honor during our second printing later this summer.
