This SATURDAY OCTOBER 8th something interesting and neighborly is going on at the Museum at 2 pm.
JOIN US! The program is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!
It will be a revelation by 5 Clevelanders of why their Hungarian identity is important to them - was it their upbringing, influence and involvement of friends and family, wanting to continue family traditions and customs and to celebrate and be immersed in Hungarian culture, or maybe because of a strong tie still to their homeland, Hungary? This diverse group includes Richard Sarosi, Alex Kezdi, Lel Somogy, Ilona Solomon and Alex Viiberg. Each of them has a different role and has contributed in various ways to our Hungarian community. Come and meet them - maybe you can identify with their experiences or learn from them as they explain and share their unique stories.
Stay for refreshments and a chance to talk to the presenters and each other after the program.
Reservations not required – just come and join us.
The Museum will be open from 1 – 4 pm, so you can also take time to browse through the Museum, check out its exhibits, and spend some in the gift shop and library.

FRIDAY NIGHT August 5th at 7 pm - BASEBALL and HUNGARIAN HERITAGE - a home run!
Come and enjoy the great American pastime of baseball with a Hungarian twist.
We are delighted to be one of the sponsors of the Lake County Captain's Game on August 5th Hungarian Heritage Night!
A giant Hungarian flag will be carried into center field - you can be one of the 30 or so people who has that honor! We will sing the Hungarian National Anthem - at a baseball game! How great is that! There will be Hungarian music and food, Hungarian trivia on the big screen, face painting and games for the children - and, of course, a great game of baseball with the Lake County Captains!
Our president, Janos Szigeti will be one of the three people who throw out the ceremonial first pitch!
And it all ends with fireworks!
BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY and enjoy this very unique way to celebrate and share your Hungarian heritage. If you are not Hungarian, what an unexpected and fun way to learn something about another culture!
PLAY BALL! See you there....
