Tomorrow 08/15 meet the artist at MIAMI INTERNATIONAL FINE ARTS from 1-4pm. Cari will be there to greet you and share her journey. This show for us represents a very autobiographical chapter in her creation, her exploration of spaces, media, volumes and the cities that we envision and imagine. A very compelling exhibition that we highly recommend. #

Urban Echoes, opening August 6 at Miami International Fine Arts, showcases Cari Cohen’s distinctive vision at the intersection of architecture and contemporary abstraction. Drawing from her architectural background, Cohen creates richly layered compositions that balance structural precision with expressive freedom, transforming the rhythms and geometry of the urban environment into compelling visual narratives. Her innovative approach to materials, texture, and spatial composition has established a recognizable artistic voice that continues to resonate with discerning collectors seeking works of lasting significance. Each painting invites close examination, revealing a sophisticated interplay of form, depth, and light that rewards repeated viewing while reflecting the energy and evolution of the contemporary city. This exceptional weaving honors the ancestral traditions of the Wayuu Culture, reflecting generations of craftsmanship, symbolism, and mastery passed down through time. It also pays tribute to the unforgettable Luis Montiel, whose extraordinary talent elevated Wayuu textile art to international recognition through masterpieces such as the monumental curtain of the Teatro Bellas Artes in Maracaibo. Montiel’s legacy lives on in every carefully woven thread, celebrating the artistic excellence and cultural identity of the Wayuu people. May we continue supporting these invaluable traditions.

Contained Energy by Rafael Barrios is a dynamic exploration of form, perception, and possibility. Through sharply articulated angles and masterful geometric transformations, Barrios creates a work that appears to defy physical constraints, inviting viewers into a realm of magical realism where solid matter seems fluid and space itself becomes malleable. The sculpture generates shifting virtual perceptions that change with every viewpoint, blending artistic virtuosity with an intuitive understanding of physics. In Contained Energy, tension, movement, and balance converge to reveal the hidden forces that shape both the material world and the imagination. For more information, please contact us
