*LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT*

Sometimes called a blood moon due to the moon changing to a dark red color, a lunar eclipse happens when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon and casts a shadow onto the moon. The red color comes from the light of all the sunsets on earth lighting up the Moon.

The eclipse will begin at 8:23pm and last until 2:01 AM. Maximum eclipse will occur at 11:12 PM where earth’s shadow will obscure 93% of the moon from the sun and the moon will turn red! If you need a spot to watch it, come out to Wildcat Bluff where it is always a good spot for stargazing!

Coming soon… ICE DINOSAURS!

Get ready for the opening of our new exhibition Ice Dinosaurs: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic on September 19! This new exhibition highlights newly discovered fossils found in the Alaskan Arctic and will feature over 20 new dinosaurs and several touchable fossils! Stay tuned for more updates on our newest dinos!
