Curious? You should be! Hargoliph Studio is the home of artist Amy West. Welcome to Hargoliph Studio! Home of artist Amy West. Who is Hargoliph?

Working with a broad range of mediums and tools she creates on of a kind works of art that are sure to not only draw your attention but let you be creative in you own right too. Amy grew up in a very artistic family that nurtured and cherished her fun and imaginative spirit. She attributes a lot of her style to her mother and the many influences of the environment in which she grew up.

she says, ‘has always been a big part of my life. Whether my sisters and I were soaring through the cloud, dodging enemy arrows, aback our winged steeds (when really we were on the swing set) or we were on long searches for bandits who’d made off with the towns money all the while being stalked by mountain lions or wolves (when really we were just horseback riding with a group of friends in the Superstition Mountains.) The point of using your imagination isn’t to make, sell and someday become rich and famous. The real reason anyone fantasizes about grand adventures (especially as a child) is to transport not only themselves but those whom they love to magical places where you can be free to create your own story.” --Amy West

Amy now lives with her Husband, four-legged children, and partner-in-crime. She enjoys frequent visits to near by Palo Duro Canyon and the challenge of trying to grow a prosperous garden in caliche clay when she's not working or elbow deep in paint or wall paper paste. NOT DEAD!
Just thawing out from a chill winter!
Now that spring has finially sprung... we're all stuck inside...
DA FAQU!

Anyway, I am still working on art and usually have several projects going at a time. I'll be taking the next two weeks off to unplug (March 23-April 4th)

Monster Hunter is a very popular game and I will not lie and say that I don't thoroughly enjoy it >< I've played happily (although not particularly well) since Tri and recently I decided to warm up by sketching some of my favorite monsters! Over the last two days I've taken them further and fleshed them out in full color.

I'm calling this series Cuties and I'll likely doodle more in the coming month.

Sketch the Amazon
Today while streaming I spent time sketching Amazon Rain Forest Creatures. Everything from Birds and Beasts to Frogs and Beetles. These 8 are just a few of them many HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of species in danger due to the horrible fires that are burning throughout the great Amazon Basin.
Art is one way we can bring awareness to bad situations. Keep your eyes and ears open, stay informed and look for way you can help.

Great first day of AMA-CON 2019 in Amarillo, TX today! Lots of great cosplayers and peeps walking around! My How to Draw Monsters panel went well too!
