Here's a History Mystery! In 1922, shortly after the new Potter County Library opened, artist Victor Higgins' artworks were displayed in a free exhibition. This article mentions that the Amarillo Art Society planned to purchase and display one of the paintings in the Library. Did the Society purchase one of the paintings, what was the painting, and, if purchased, where is it now?
If you know anything about this artwork, we'd love to hear it. If you want to learn more about the Potter County Library and its history, join us for a free Community Meeting about the library and plans to turn it into a museum.
