Thank you to everyone who came out last week to the McDonough Museum of Art for a special performance featuring our Artist in Residence, Óskar Þór Arngrímsson (Ótal)!

Ótal presented the live premiere of “Fjöður”, a new ambient album created during his Akron Soul Train residency. The performance was accompanied by live videography by Ella Medicus.

Before the performance, Ótal met with the YSU Electronic Music Ensemble to talk about music and his creative process. Afterward, Ella connected with students in the Intro to Digital class to share more about her work and approach.

Thank you again to everyone who came, to the McDonough Museum of Art for hosting, and to Ótal and Ella for sharing their time and creative processes with the students!
