It was our great honour to host Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand on Sunday, 2 August 2026. In her capacity as Royal Instructor, Her Royal Highness led a delegation of cadets from the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy on a study visit to Changi Chapel and Museum.

They were accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore.

During the visit, the delegation explored the museum's galleries, which trace the experiences of prisoners of war and civilian internees during the Japanese Occupation through personal stories and artefacts. They also viewed the recreated Changi Murals, the replica Changi Chapel and the Changi Quilt, reflecting on the stories of resilience, sacrifice and remembrance preserved at the museum.

โœ๏ธ A museum visit, a sketchbook, and a little creativity goes a long way!

We loved having Urban Sketchers Singapore at Changi Chapel and Museum, as they explored our spaces and captured the museum through their sketches.

It was wonderful seeing our galleries come to life through their eyes - from the details they noticed to the stories they chose to bring onto paper.

Inspired to pick up your own sketchbook? Come by, explore our spaces, and discover the stories waiting to be drawn.
