PankhArt is an enterpreneural venture by a passionate artist and creator, Mona (Reshma). Mona Singhania believes that as she has lived abroad in United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany among other countries since the last 22 years, she has always had a fragmented existence and therefore the mission of her art is to to keep her connection to everything quintessentially Indian alive for herself. Mona’s w
ork got inspired by her affinity to expand her consciousness through spirituality that transcends rigid boundaries of religion. The themes in her paintings encapsulate the greatness of the pantheon Gods from Hinduism and Buddhism to the simple yet profound expressions of the commoners. Her work provides an interesting blend of consistency and experimentation with these subjects. Her work uses an earthy palette of colors on the medium of oil on canvas or linen. She has created a very finely nuanced language with which she creates several elaborate portraits. While her work is figurative in nature that draws from human or known religious subjects, their representation is strikingly distinctive chiseled out of her vision. Graduated in humanities, she is additionally trained at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore. She has showcased her work around Asia at prestigious galleries and art fairs such as Malaysia Art Expo, Dubai Art Fair, Indian Art Festival and Affordable Art Fair Singapore.
