Last August 1, 2026, the 1730 Jesuit House Museum was delighted to welcome members of the Barangay Sambag II Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), together with several Barangay Councilors and members of the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) community, for a meaningful visit to one of Cebu's most treasured cultural landmarks.
Spearheaded by the Barangay Sambag II SK, the visit served as a wonderful reminder that history is for everyone. At the 1730 Jesuit House Museum, we believe that our shared heritage should be inclusive, accessible, and appreciated by people from all walks of life. Preserving history also means ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience, learn from, and connect with it.
The group also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Jimmy Sy, owner of the 1730 Jesuit House Museum, whose dedication to preserving this important cultural landmark has allowed generations of visitors to discover its remarkable story and enduring legacy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Barangay Sambag II SK for organizing this meaningful initiative, as well as to the participating Barangay Councilors and members of the PWD community for sharing this memorable day with us. We look forward to welcoming you again as we continue to celebrate and preserve Cebu's rich cultural heritage for everyone.
