De Ultieme Selfie. Balthasar Prinsen | Bodyscape II

Where body and nature merged within the flat plane in his first series of Bodyscapes, Balthasar Prinsen’s second series explores the encounter between photographic art and raw matter. By combining self-portraits with suspended, sliced olive wood discs from Turkey, he examines the boundaries between nature and his own physical form. Inspired by the philosophy of Ram Dass, he takes the objectification of the physical body a step further. A face inherently carries emotion and invites identification. However, he invites the beholder to look beyond that expression; to experience the face as a landscape of shapes and lines, analogous to the grain and structures found within the wood.

The open, spatial composition of the work—presented symbolizes the spiritual journey and the earthly cycle that we, as human beings, are here to fulfil. The woodwork was created by Anandhu.

EXHIBITION 06.09 – 27.09.2026
RESIDUAL AESTHETICS STREETWISE by JEFTA HOED
“The Beauty of What Remains”

An exploration into the relational cycles of culture and nature in the Symbioceen through assembly and deconstruction

Jefta Hoed presents an overview of works from the past seven years. Trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Jefta brings a deep affinity for relational aesthetics and Art as a connecting force. His sculptural, layered practice reveals subtle details and plays with wonder and coincidence, using natural and found materials that carry the spirit of their time while still suggesting a timeless presence.

Time is not a distant theme in Jefta’s work—it is the method. The exhibition proposes that stories are formed through temporary combinations: what is meaningful today becomes the material for new connections tomorrow.

Jefta also ties his practice to street culture and grassroots energy.

Opening September 6 from 4 pm till 8 pm

Last week!! Exhibition 19.07 – 09.08.26
BLUE-SERIE Hoda Radsha
Hoda Radsha's Blue Series explores the power of perseverance and personal growth. Shades of blue, water droplets, and sweat form a recurring visual language that symbolizes the physical and emotional effort required to achieve a goal. Doubt, pain, and vulnerability are presented as essential parts of the journey, ultimately becoming the foundation for resilience and transformation.
Through a compelling interplay of color, emotion, and the human body, Radsha's paintings invite viewers to reflect on their own path. The works reveal that true strength is not found in the absence of hardship, but in the courage to keep moving forward despite it.
The exhibition encourages visitors to consider their own inner strength, personal journey, and the determination required to pursue meaningful goals.
