🎨 TAPESTRY: WOVEN NARRATIVES 🧡✨

Every culture, community, and individual is bound by threads of memory, identity, and place. 🧢 TAPESTRY: Woven Narratives brings together a dynamic convergence of fashion designers, local and international artists whose practices intersect at the crossroads of storytelling, texture, and cultural dialogue. πŸŒπŸ’«

While the word tapestry evokes traditional textiles, this exhibition expands the concept into a metaphor for the contemporary human experience. πŸ–ΌοΈ Each artwork functions as a singular thread - distinct in medium, origin, and voice that interacts with others to construct a rich, collective visual narrative. πŸ‘₯🎨

From tactile explorations and intricate material manipulation to evocative figurative storytelling and urban observations, the featured artists explore how personal histories weave into our broader social fabric. πŸ™οΈπŸͺ‘ The dialogue between Philippine-based visual artists, fashion designers, and foreign perspectives reflects an interconnected global landscape, one where geography fades and shared human emotion takes center stage. ❀️🌏

TAPESTRY: Woven Narratives invites viewers to step beyond the surface, trace the subtle interconnections between varied artistic traditions, and discover the hidden stories woven within every stroke, structure, and fiber. πŸ”βœ¨

Now that we have found a home for Kambal Gallery in Manila in Park Triangle Mall in the heart of BGC (Bonifacio Global City), we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Architect Jerwin Garcia and of Jerwin Garcia Designs Architectural Colpany and Engr. Kelvin Tubig of BMCJR Construction for helping us realize our vision for the overall design of our gallery into fruition. They have been most patient with us especially when we have to revise some of the designs to suit what we are aiming for in the overall look of our gallery. They helped us fabricate movable panels, hang hanging track using wires (as we don’t like using screws in hanging the paintings) and even helped us build pedestals for our sculptures. We would highly recommend them to friends and would be happy to use them again in case we have plans of expanding and creating more branches for our gallery in the future.

Thank you to the extraordinary artists who trusted us with their visions, and to everyone who joined us to make these an unforgettable celebration of contemporary art.

For those who missed the opening night, you may send your inquiries to www. kambalgallery.com.
