Art for a Cause: Kambal Gallery and SIGMA Foundationโ€™s Evening of Impact

Last night, June 1, 2026, the Conrad Manila, located at the heart of the Mall of Asia Complex, played host to an inspiring convergence of creativity and altruism. SIGMA Foundationโ€™s "AUCTION: WHERE ART MEETS PURPOSE" transformed the hotelโ€™s event space into a sanctuary of human stories, where art served as the bridge to meaningful change.

Among the participating contributors to this successful evening was Kambal Gallery, whose commitment to the arts was highlighted by the presence of Managing Partner Anna Pendry. The galleryโ€™s participation underscored a shared vision that art should inspire action!

Part of the Highlight of the Night
A major highlight of the auction was the acquisition of "Hello Kitten 2025" by Bell Sison. This striking piece, crafted in metal color chrome and measuring 24 x 19 x 14 cm, captured the imagination of those in attendance. The work garnered a winning bid of Euro 2,000, with all proceeds contributing to the foundational mission of the SIGMA Foundation.

The collaboration between Kambal Gallery and the SIGMA Foundation proved that when the creative community unites for a common cause, the impact resonates far beyond the gallery walls. As the final gavel fell at Conrad Manila, it was clear that the night was not just about the transaction of art, but about the enduring power of community.

Exhibition Spotlight: Joemarie Sanclaria Chua (b. 1987) & Salvador Ching (b. 1965) ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๏ธโœจ

Step into an exhibition of memory, introspection, and dreamlike atmospheres.
We are proud to feature two remarkable contemporary artists whose works
explore the intersections of real spaces and personal history:

๐ŸŒ† JOEMARIE SANCLARIA CHUA, Twilight Hymns of Manila (2026)
Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 36 x 48 in (91 x 122 cm)
Chua transports us to the beating heart of Quiapo, Manila, beautifully transforming the rhythm of everyday journeys. Through a masterful depiction of glowing city lights, shielding umbrellas, and wet, shimmering reflections, the hustle of the city dissolves into a soft, dreamlike passage through memory and imagination. It is a stunning, poetic tribute to urban life at dusk.

๐Ÿงญ Salvador Ching, Window (Series) (2026)
Medium: Acrylic and graphite on canvas
Ching presents a layered visual narrative where direction and self-reflection converge. A solitary seated figure anchors the composition against a vivid, intense field of red and orange. Surrounded by symbolic elements like compasses, keys, clouds, and delicate floral outlines, the piece invites viewers to look inward through an imagined "window," a space where personal history and fleeting thoughts overlap.
