“In this series of works I adopt slab forming and stilt firing techniques. Through a deconstructive reconstruction approach, I have preserved the essential characteristics of animals in some pieces while consciously refining the expression of surfaces and lines. The goal of my work is to showcase the dynamics of flowing space and the rhythm of fragmented forms. 我這組作品採用泥片成型和托燒工藝，通過分解重構的手法，部分作品保留了動物的基本特徵，同時也有意識地提煉面與線的表現語言。我的作品旨在展現流動空間的動態與碎片化形式的節奏。”

Tomomi Tanaka said, “My work consists of numerous clay lamellas attached to the surface of a hand-built core. One day, I accidentally flattened the clay on the table with my hands and tools. The intriguing flatness inspired me to use these lamellas in my creations because the layers seemed to resemble the emotions piled up in my mind—intimately accumulated yet unexpressed.” 「我的作品由許多薄片的陶土構成，附著在手掐的主體造型表面上。有一天，我意外地用手以工具壓平了陶土，這奇妙的扁平感讓我靈感湧現。那些層疊的薄片，如同埋我心中未可表達的情感，私密地堆積起來。」 田中知美 如是說

This exhibition showcases the unique responses of ceramists Rachel Cheung and Tomomi Tanaka to the interplay of materials, textures, and forms. Through their distinct hand-building techniques, they explore the intricacies of clay, allowing their thoughts and emotions to manifest in tactile expressions. "Whispers of White" invites viewers to witness the delicate balance of creativity and craftsmanship as each artist conveys their journey through the art of ceramics.

展覽表現了張煒詩與田中知美在陶藝上對材料、質感與形態的獨特感受。兩位藝術家均以手掐塑形，探索陶瓷細膩的質感，從觸感中各自表現自身的思想與情感。「白色低語」邀請觀眾見證她們如何在創意與工藝之間的互動中，取得微妙的平衡，體現她們各自在陶藝創作過程中的心路歷程。

Akio’s work explores the interplay between ceramics and light. His translucent, thin-walled pieces feature dense patterns of pierced dots, which he calls “Koki” (Pottery of Light). 新里明士的作品探索陶瓷與光的互動。他的陶瓷透明薄壁上有密集的穿孔點，他稱之為「光器」。

The exhibition “Dimensions: Contemporary Chinese Studio Crafts” at V&A Museum in London is the result of a four-year research project featuring lacquer, ceramics, glass, metalwork, and textiles from over 70 artists, showcasing the evolution of studio craft in China since the 1980s. Curator Dr. Xiaoxin Li shared insights from her extensive travels to production hubs and artist studios across China at a talk. This display highlights the innovative practices that have emerged from China’s rich craft tradition, celebrating the transformative power of craft as an artistic medium. Congratulations to curator .liiii and all featured artists!
