Our Summer Steam Family Day would not have been as much of a success without the assistance of Miniature Railway Workshop for the loan of the K2 and Top Field Light Railway for the additional drivers and support. It has turned out to be one of our most successful running in our 63 year history. We will be discussing later on in the year about next year…watch this space!

Our next running will be on the 20th September from 13:00-16:30.

We’ve had a brilliant day today, thank you if you attended. We would love to see any photos or videos you have taken. We would also appreciate it we could use them for future publicity.

Our Summer Steam Family Day is tomorrow, we will be going ahead and have many mitigations for fires.

We have also been testing the K2 4698 Loch Rannoch from Miniature Railway Workshop on the Riverside Railway today and can confirm it will be hauling a passenger train on this line alongside Jake Afford and Edward Thomas.

Our other engine Midge will be on the New line with a Demonstration Freight train, Sadly unable to carry passengers, while Conway will be on the Midland Railway

Unlimited train rides on the Riverside and Midland Railways, entry to the museum, the boat trip from Wroxham Bridge and free Tea, Coffee and Squash from Dickersons Diner are included in the admission price of £10 per adult and £5 per child. Both Card and Cash payments are accepted

The planned visit of the static display Bagnall Loco will now not be happening. But there’s still plenty to see and do.

Good morning everyone,
We hope you have been enjoying the nice weather.

Things are changing at our railway.
From our May running you will just pay one entry fee and the afternoon is yours. Ride the steam/electric trains on both railways as much as you like, visit the museum and also enjoy free tea/coffee and squash.
The only additional things to pay for are the 'drive a loco' and a small donation to visit the signal box.
There will be no more tickets to keep hold of, no more 1st class or 3rd class options.

Good afternoon everyone
Firstly, thank you to everyone that visited us on Easter Monday. It was a brilliant turn out with lots of new visitors.

Secondly, we are open tomorrow as advertised from 13:00 to 16:30. Steam trains, electric trains, boat trips and a museum to look round. Also refreshments available too.

Prices start from £5.00 entry per adult and £2.50 per child.
