Meet the cast of Allendale Theatre Company's production of:
ROUND THE HORNE

Now retired, Gordon enjoyed a successful career in entertainment as a presenter for commercial radio stations and BBC Radio. He had an appearance in the Doctor Who episode Curse of Fenric in 1989. His most recent stage credit was playing Private Frazer in Dad’s Army at the Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne.

As an avid radio nut and former radio professional, Gordon gave in to temptation as he couldn’t resist the opportunity of playing Hugh Paddick in Round The Horne.

He’s a bona Omi! Isn’t he bold!

Join us for an afternoon (or two) of bona comedy as we recreate the much-loved BBC radio show, Round The Horne! Our talented cast portray Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Kenneth Horne, Betty Marsden and Douglas Smith through two different sparkling episodes in each performance, script-in-hand at the mics, as it would have been on the original recordings.

Each performance will feature a different script, with different sketches and running order. There's a small amount of intentional overlap between the two performances - approximately 10% - where selected material appears in both.

Join us on both days so you don't miss out, and receive a FREE programme.

Just book Saturday & Sunday tickets, present both at the first show and you'll receive your souvenir programme!

Not suitable for young children. Very suitable for anyone with a good old-fashioned (and slightly naughty) sense of humour!

We have only 1 film left for our summer of free family films, but it is going to be a good one.

No tickets required, no booking, just come along and watch the film for free. Sweets, popcorn, hot & soft drinks and other refreshments are available to purchase, and our award-winning café will be open for breakfast and lunch at every screening.

Meet the cast of Allendale Theatre Company's production of:
ROUND THE HORNE

Bev Beck joins Allendale Theatre Company in the role of Betty Marsden. Bev is best known as the presenter and voiceover artist at Athelhampton House, featuring in their documentary on Thomas Hardy and his connection with the property. She has appeared in episodes of Broadchurch, Torchwood, Tess of the d’Ubervilles and in a Netflix advertising campaign. You may also recognise Bev as a principal performer for Strictly Murder, the regular murder mystery afternoons in The Allendale Café.

Meet the cast of Allendale Theatre Company's production of:
ROUND THE HORNE

We are delighted to announce that Justin Ellery will be playing the titular role of Kenneth Horne. Justin is a familiar face for many TV soap fans, with appearances in Coronation Street, Heartbeat, Harbour Lights, The Bill, and Emmerdale. He returned to the stage after a six year break from acting when he starred in Grass Roots Theatre's production of The Extraordinary Revelations of Orca The Goldfish, performed here at Allendale Community Centre last September.
