I have added a 25pr recuperateor filling / pressure stencil to my gun. Based on some original photos. The recouperators are filled with oil and compressed air to a pressure of 600 psi. The recuperator allows the barrel to recoil in a controlled way and then run back to its original position each time its fired.

New book just released, shame its only in Italian for now but I have my name in the credits and some photos in the book. Hopefully a signed hard copy is on its way thanks to Davide Minardi the co author. Look up Davide he is on facebook if you would like a copy. Its a follow up to his previous excellent book on the P59 box.

For the first time in nearly 30 years of ownership I had a flat tyre on the Quad last weekend at the Warrington Armed forces event. Thank fully it was soft when I arrived and went flat shortly after. I have always carried a spare but its been in my mind to replace it for many years, as its a 9 x 16 that suits the gun and limber but not the Quad at 10.50 x 16. That is how it was done wartime. So it has finally prompted me to get my act together and sort out a proper spare. I already had a rim so that was shot blasted and painted and new tyre innertube and flap fitted. Also new tube and flap in the one that went flat. I have to say I was impressed with my new bead breakers. Saw them being used on a youtube vid, surprisingly not expensive either.

I have been a bit slow posting these. The Quad out on prom duty. Cansfield High leavers do last week at Haydock park. For my niece Matilda.

Brilliant day at Warrington Armed Forces Day - 'Sephton 'Trophy yesterday (Saturday 27th June).

As always amazingly organised by Alan Boyle - no idea how this guy dose it !!!.....

1000s as usual enjoying a wonderful day of Armed services Rugby matches and the main event the Tom Sephton Trophy.

Tom (20) was serving in the 1st Mercian Regiment when he was killed by a Taliban IED.

A great honour having his brother and family fire the last rounds of the day.

Loads of military & civilian stands - wonderful atmosphere.
Nice to see Darren and The Arnhem Boys there with their stand.

Lovely to meet the author of this brilliant book yesterday - David Bullmer.
Should be an interesting read.
David was kind enough to bring us a signed copy to Warrington Armed Forces Day - 'Sephton 'Trophy
Only 150 have been printed.
