The details for Piers Bishop’s funeral/celebration of life.

The funeral will be on Tuesday 28th April. The hearse will be going past our house WN2 2HT shortly before 1pm .

The funeral is at Howe Bridge crematorium, M46 OPZ at 1.30. Then gathering at Springview Cricket and Bowling club WN2 3TQ at about 2.30 .

Piers was an artist as you know. He made amazing creations with colour. So we ask that you wear something colourful or include a dash of colour in your outfit.

Who is the King of King Street Arts? It’s King Rollo. 9 years ago when we set up King Street Arts as an arts organisation, we consulted with lots of other arts organisations in the NW including Cross Street Arts in Leigh, and Neo, in Bolton. King Rollo came from Cross Streets and has graced our entrance ever since! Thanks to everyone who generously shared their expertise and knowledge with us to help King Street Arts to get off the ground and become what it is today.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of our associate member Piers Bishop who created technologically experimental works inspired by digital and analogue technology, landscape, science and maths. His creative expression also found voice in his talent with the guitar playing and building. Piers Bishop

Our members and trustees wish to send their condolences to Piers family.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by his wife Janet and we will share.
