FATHER CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE AT BRAMALL HALL 2023

It's now only 77 days until Father Christmas arrives at Bramall Hall, so the countdown has truly started!

Join us at the Hall for a magical visit to Father Christmas, with all the festive trimmings! Young visitors will journey around the Hall with plenty to keep them occupied including elf spotting, colouring a tree decoration, and writing a letter to Father Christmas. Children will have an audience with Father Christmas and collect a special gift.

The Hall will be beautifully decorated for Christmas creating a magical backdrop that will evoke that Christmas spirit.

Tonight we travelled back in time to the reign of King Charles II also known as ‘The Merrie Monarch’.

The audience learned that he brought peace to the British isle after the Civil War.

We found out that he founded The Royal Society and that he resurrected the theatre after it had been banned. He introduced female actors to the stage (before women had been played by men). Charles II also brought this country the sport of yatching and horse racing not to mention the fact that and he gave name to a very well known breed of dogs.

A huge thank you goes out to Dr. Gareth Williams for transporting us back in time and bringing history to life!

Christmas was in the air at Bramall Hall today!

Whilst it’s only September, we hosted our annual rummage day!

Our dedicated team of mega talented floral designers from
Clubs across Stockport have selected their materials. So the shaping and creating of Christmas magic can now start!

This year’s decorative theme is Claret & Champagne- come and see the Hall sparkle in sumptuous red and glittering gold.

We promise that this will get you into the Christmas spirit!

This year the Hall can be seen dressed for Christmas from Wednesday 15 November 2023 to Sunday 7 January 2024.

As this week past has been we would like to give a huge shout out to The Friends of Bramall Hall & Park.

Members of the friends group volunteer tirelessly in the Hall and in the in Park to support the museums service with the delivery of our programming, developing our collections and ensuring that our wonderful park looks as good as it can during every season.

In 2022/23 over 2000 volunteer hours have been given to Bramall Hall and Park.
