It suddenly felt very quiet at the Museum yesterday.
After a busy summer of visitors, family activities and workshops, we couldn't help but notice how long the shadows had become whilst closing the Museum for the day, stretching across the garden and up the old brick walls.
Maybe it's the cooler evenings, or perhaps it's just the light, but it suddenly felt like autumn was on its way. 🍂
The garden is still looking beautiful though, and we're not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet. Although, after five heatwaves, a drought and torrential rain, it's been a fairly meteorologically ridiculous summer, so perhaps we're ready for a change! 🌿🍂
Good luck to everyone heading back to school this week, whether you're putting on a uniform, welcoming a new class or standing at the school gate waving one off! 📚❤️
