Sadly we have to report that Tony Horton died peacefully this morning.

Tony was a stalwart of this Society, and our Records Officer for many years. Serving on the committee, researching and giving talks about the local historic houses which have been restored or have disappeared and on the history of Nuthall. He helped, along with other committee members to publish the book "Nuthall, Dear Old Nuthall", and later assisted in the production of the DVD "Nuthall, Dear Old Nuthall". He was a good photographer of Society events and together with Spencer Spooner recorded interviews with older members of the community. We have missed his assistance with our archives since he retired from active membership.

We send our condolences to his family.

St Patrick's Church, Nuthall, will be holding a Gardener's Coffee Morning at the church this Saturday 16 May from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
There will be a plant stall, home made cakes and refreshments. Nuthall History Society will also be there with a display and showing images of past flower festivals. There will be an opportunity to look at some of the old parish magazine issues as well.
Everyone welcome.

If anyone has photos or stories to tell of weddings at St Patrick's in the past, we'd love to hear from you.
