Rage meets hope, Banksy’s Love Is in the Air is pure guerrilla poetry.

Often referred to as The Flower Thrower, it first appeared in 2003 in Jerusalem, shortly after the construction of the West Bank wall, and it has become one of Banksy’s most iconic and widely recognized pieces.

The limited-edition print was released that same year, and over time, we’ve seen different variations of this image—including original paintings on canvas, cardboard, and wooden pallets. The most recent one, the triptych spread across three frames, released in 2019 as part of Banksy’s Gross Domestic Product show.

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Dog Leg Study” is an electric mix of anatomy, politics, and cultural commentary.
 The artwork features a depiction of animal anatomy, with labeled bones and the intriguing text “Dog Leg Versus Human Foot.” Basquiat often juxtaposed contrasting elements to convey deeper meanings.
 Included in this work are also the names of famous boxers, such as Sugar Ray Robinson and Jersey Joe Walcott, thighlighting his admiration for figures who transcended racial barriers.
There are also several Haitian references—reflecting his heritage—that layer colonial history with personal roots and identity.

“Dog Leg Study” is a brilliant snapshot of Basquiat’s themes and cultural critiques and a clear example of why he remains one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

From 17th-century masterpieces to kawaii-infused deities, Murakami blurs the lines between tradition and modernity, exploring Kyoto’s history and postwar cultural shifts.

Japanese Art History à la Takashi Murakami is open at Gagosian, Grosvenor Hill until March 8, 2025.

‘My Window No. 778, 17th April 2011’ is a stunning print from Hockney’s iPad series, showcasing his exploration of digital technology as a creative tool.

This limited edition is accompanied by Hockney’s ‘My Window’ book—a collection of 120 drawings created between 2009 and 2012. Each image captures fleeting moments—sunrises, reflections, and seasonal changes—revealing Hockney’s masterful focus on light, colour, and detail.

The book, arranged chronologically by the artist himself, takes us on a journey through time and nature as seen through his eyes.

The image appeared earlier today on his Instagram profile, and no caption was added—which sent the comments section into overdrive!

Madonnas are a recurring motif in Banksy’s work, a subject he revisits with pointed precision. While they traditionally embody purity and divine motherhood, Banksy has often used them to highlight the suffering endured by mothers and children during times of conflict.

We might think this new mural is simply a nod to Christmas, but with Banksy, there’s always more to it than meets the eye!

Well, it’s gone 🙈

The Three Monkeys mural has been removed for reasons yet to be confirmed. It appeared in East London in August as part of a series of animal-themed art trails the artist scattered across London this summer.

A glass cover was initially placed over the mural, suggesting it was intended to become a permanent fixture. However, on Wednesday night, a group of workers was seen removing the protection and washing the Three Monkeys away.
But permanence is a fragile thing in street art, isn’t it?

When asked, the workers said they dind’t know why and ‘just been told to’.

When contacted for comment, Tower Hamlets Council said their graffiti removal team did not remove the mural. Banksy’s Pest Control was also unable to explain the removal.

Transport for London (TfL), which manages the bridge, has been contacted for comment, but we are yet to hear what they have to say.
