"Dust shows us that light exists. […] Dust shows us above all that there is a deep connection between light and suspension [suspension], with suspense [suspens]. A suspense that would be like the substance of that light." 🪶
— from "Superstition" by Georges Didi-Huberman

In his work "Giove pittore di farfalle", which features delicate, luminous presences that hold the colours of the iris, questions the nature of the artist's gesture beyond presence—what endures once the work leaves its maker?

Soon on view, form Saturday 21 March.

We are delighted to present our upcoming exhibition dedicated to Alessandro Piangiamore "La polvere ci mostra che la luce esiste" (When dust reveals the light) opening on 21 March 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00, in our Lugano space. ✨

Through a series of works spanning the artist's entire career, Piangiamore's first solo exhibition at the gallery space in Lugano will feature videos, installations, sculptures and works on paper: multifaceted acts of manipulation and distortion; imprints; and attempts to capture and make eternal everything that, by its very nature, is destined to escape. Discover more about the exhibition by clicking the link in bio. 🔗

During the opening, we will have the pleasure of offering wines from the Renato Ratti winery and a cheese tasting courtesy of the Caseificio dell'Alta Langa.

Dust, as the philosopher George Didi-Hubermann writes, becomes visible only when crossed by light — a fragile and unstable presence that briefly reveals the inner structure of space while resisting any fixed form.

It is within this subtle condition of appearance and disappearance that the practice of Alessandro Piangiamore unfolds. Working in a zone of indeterminacy where matter loses its solidity to become image, his works emerge from a delicate balance between what is destined to dissolve and what quietly, persistently, seeks to endure. 🍃

Soon on view in our gallery, Piangiamore's solo show invites reflection on fragility, transformation, and the fleeting nature of form.

The exhibition will be accompanied by an illustrated catalogue in English and Italian, with a text by Julien Fronsacq, Chief Curator of MAMCO Genève, and an essay by Andrea Cortellessa, critic and historian of literature, published by SilvanaEditoriale. 📖

Today at we're showing a dream-like artwork by Victor Vasarely, a central figure in the development of Op Art. 🌀

From the 1940s onward, Vasarely developed a rigorous visual language based on geometry, optical effects and the systematic use of color, aiming to create artworks capable of generating movement and spatial illusion through purely visual means. ⭐️
