We are delighted to present our upcoming exhibition dedicated to Giovanni Anselmo, one of the leading figures of Arte Povera and one of the most significant artists of the second half of the 20th century. 🍃
Open to the public from September 19 to December 18, 2026, the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery brings together eight iconic works in a career-spanning journey that retraces the foundational elements of his artistic vision: gravity, energy, magnetic field, time, and the complex interplay of invisible forces that govern both nature and human experience. 🪐
From the suspended anticipation of “Trespolo” (1969) and the conceptual reflections of “Particolare di Infinito” (1969–1975) and “Lato destro” (1970), to “Linea Terra” (1970–2017), where a simple gesture expands towards a cosmic dimension, each work invites viewers to reconsider their relationship with space and perception. The projected light of “Particolare” (1972–2026), the precarious balances of the two “Untitled” works (1984; 1989–90), and “Mentre la terra si orienta” (2002–2026), which makes the Earth’s magnetic field perceptible, reveal the essential vocabulary of a practice that brings together heterogeneous materials, so that the energies of the cosmos can manifest themselves.
