D Contemporary presents a solo exhibition by Wenqi, an artist whose work bridges material sensitivity, poetic intuition, and cross-cultural dialogue. Developed in collaboration with ONEART Gallery, Beijing, and curated by Sonia Borrell, this exhibition presents an immersive insight into the artist’s evolving ceramic practice. Drawing inspiration from textiles, architecture, and the microscopic world, her forms balance precision with organic fluidity, inviting viewers into a contemplative space shaped by subtle perception and poetic depth.

In a world that moves faster every day, culture is what keeps us grounded, inspiring, and connected. The D Contemporary Open Call 2026, under the theme Soft Power, celebrates the subtle ways art shapes understanding, fosters empathy, and expands our vision of what is possible.

Soft power is the quiet force of stories, memories, and experiences that resonate beyond the individual. It is how personal narratives become shared histories, and how creativity transforms curiosity, need, and imagination into enduring cultural impact.

The D Contemporary Award 2026 is designed to provide emerging and early mid-career artists of all ages and nationalities with the opportunity to showcase their work, while receiving support to develop and enhance their practice within our contemporary art gallery in London.

We’re excited to invite emerging and early mid-career artists from around the world to apply for the D Contemporary Open Call Award 2026—an international platform dedicated to discovering and supporting new artistic voices.

This year’s theme, Soft Power, celebrates the subtle influence of culture, creativity, and personal narratives.

Finalists will exhibit in London, with one artist awarded a solo exhibition, mentorship, and press coverage.
