Ashbourne Historical Centre had the pleasure of welcoming Patrick Moult and his partner Penny who are visiting from Australia. We reunited Patrick with his father's ball that he turned up in 1962, which is on display all year round.
The late Ted Moult will always be remembered with affection in Ashbourne.

With the World Cup now underway, why not take a step back to 1966?

Visit the Historical Centre to see our new display on the German football team's training sessions at Ashbourne Recreation Ground during the 1966 World Cup.
Created by Archie Wright and John Scott, the display tells the fascinating story of how one of football's greatest international teams prepared in Ashbourne ahead of the tournament. You can also watch the accompanying documentary, bringing this remarkable piece of local sporting history to life.

Come along and discover Ashbourne's unique World Cup connection!
