Visited SOY ENERGÍA, the solo exhibition of Sandra Vásquez de la Horra at Haus der Kunst, Munich.

This major European survey explores her experimental and deeply spiritual practice, where drawing, organic materials, and scenographic space come together. Her work reflects on human and women’s rights, migration, persecution, and the vital connection between humanity and nature — all through a powerful, multi-perspective lens.

On view until 17 May 2026

Some views of ‘Soy Energía’ Sandra Vásquez de la Horra solo exhibition at Haus der Kunst, Munich, Germany!

On view until 17 May 2026, ‘Soy Energía’ is the artist’s first institutional survey exhibition in Europe. The exhibition focuses on Vásquez de la Horra’s experimental practice and her spatial, energetic, and global thinking. Through a multi-perspective approach, it invites an encounter with her spiritual cosmos, where human and nature are reconciled.

Themes of self-determination, women’s and human rights, as well as experiences of persecution, oppression, and migration, play a central role. The exhibition reflects the artist’s evolving exhibition practice, working with organic materials and extending scenographic approaches into space to convey profound existential experiences.

🥳🎉Wishing a very happy birthday to Thomas Broomé!

Two weeks left to visit his fourth solo show at the gallery :
DANCEDANCEDANCE a great opportunity to see the artist’s latest pieces!

DANCEDANCEDANCE is an exhibition about a choreography. In each painting, an object — a bouquet of flowers, a bottle, a sculpture — is covered with the word DANCE, repeated obsessively. It wraps every surface like a skin, like code, like ideology. The object doesn’t ask to be admired. It asks you to join in. The repetition isn’t decorative — it’s directive. It whispers: this is what we do now. We dance to stay included. We dance to stay visible.

Don’t miss the chance to discover it!

🌋🌋🌋🌋 Join us for Open House on October 11, 2025 | 4–8 PM

Celebrate the opening of Sandra Vásquez de la Horra: The Awake Volcanoes.

Organized by the Denver Art Museum, after which it traveled to Chile and Argentina before coming to ICA LA, the exhibition and its related catalogue chronicle Vásquez de la Horra’s extensive explorations of the body, landscape, gender and sexuality, ritual and myth, and celebrate the artist’s significant contributions to the field.

Discover four decades of powerful drawings, paintings, and sculptures exploring the body, nature, ritual, and resistance through a deeply personal and mythical lens. 🔥🌋🌿

Mareaciones, 2015

‘Mareaciones’ is part of ‘Strabisme Interne’ (2016) an exhibition exploring the creation of temporary communities formed by people who begin connecting through the shared experience of dreams. These dream-based encounters become the foundation for collective practices aimed at transforming emotional, perceptual, and relational ways of being. By drawing from intimate materials like dreams, déjà vu, and inner states, the work questions habitual modes of feeling, expressing, and coexisting. The resulting objects—masks, garments, sculptures, and videos—act as extensions of these shared processes, supporting self-exploration and aesthetic transformation. The work ultimately invites reflection on alternative ways of inhabiting the world, together and individually.

🌟We are pleased to share that Francisca Aninat is currently featured in : « Revealing (In) visible Times » An exhibition at The Heong Gallery, Downing College, Cambridge, alongside artist Alexandre da Cunha and curated by Valentina Gajardo.

The exhibition explores how time accumulates, lingers, and often goes unnoticed in everyday materials and overlooked spaces - from hospital waiting rooms to cleaning tools. Through textiles, installations, and reconfigured found objects, the artists give form to experiences of waiting, care, and displacement.
