What makes a monster?
This year’s Golden Days explores monstrosity and evil – and why we’re so drawn to it.
Join us at CC for an evening exploring the monstrous: as myth, as history, and as something lived in the body, from the perspectives of artists rooted in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).
CC Director Marie Laurberg is joined by Jessie Kleemann and Martin Brandt Hansen for a conversation, followed by Kleemann’s performance Qivittoq, embodying the Inuit myth of the outcast mountain wanderer.
Explore CC’s new exhibition Fire & Ice – On Belonging and Becoming in Kalaallit Nunaat, which centers on works by contemporary artists who live, work, and have ties to Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).
The event ticket gives you access to the entire art center, where you can explore works by Camille Henrot, James Turrell, and Kengo Kuma and Associates.
A DJ set closes out the evening.
