Artist Spotlight 🔦

Line Stramer (b. 1984) is a Danish artist and designer based in Copenhagen, working primarily with clay and sculpture. She holds a degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, and also studied at Parque Lage Visual Art School in Rio de Janeiro.

Growing up in a creative home Stramer was surrounded by drawing, art books, and family trips planned around museums. This early immersion in visual culture shaped a lifelong, intuitive drive to create.

First discovering clay in 2020, she describes it as a turning point, an encounter with a material that feels alive, requiring collaboration rather than control. Her sculptural works emerge through this dialogue with clay, often forming themselves into organic, otherworldly silhouettes. Inspired by the inner life of the female body and the symbolic world beneath the ocean’s surface, Stramer explores themes of life’s transience, the primal feminine, and origins of existence. Her stoneware sculptures, finished with glaze and platinum silver, open subtle gateways to the subconscious, inviting the viewer into a space between material and myth.

Stramer has exhibited widely in Denmark, including Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen, Galleri Fie Lei, and various independent spaces across Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.

Stephanie Homa (b. 1981), known by her artistic alter ego Super Future Kid, is a German multidisciplinary artist working across painting, ceramics, sculpture, and immersive installations. Born in East Germany and now living and working in New York, her artistic identity has been profoundly shaped by the cultural shift following the fall of the Berlin Wall. The cultural shock that followed left a lasting impression on her and continues to influence her love for bold colours, playful forms, and the joyful visual language that defines her work.

After graduating from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin in 2008, Homa lived in London and New York before establishing an international career. Her vibrant visual universe blends childhood memories, contemporary culture, and a deep connection with nature, creating playful yet thought-provoking works that blur the boundaries between fiction and reality.

Employing bold shapes and vivid colours, her work explores themes of identity and what it means to be human. Through recurring characters, expressive ceramic sculptures, and immersive paintings, she creates emotionally engaging spaces that invite viewers to reconnect with the freedom and curiosity of childhood while discovering an alternative reality of themselves. Balancing fiction and reality, her work reflects on spirituality, play, memory, and the enduring influence of youth on our adult identities.

Her work has been exhibited internationally in cities including Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo. Her works are also part of prestigious public and private collections, including the LAM Museum, the VandenBroek Foundation, and the CitizenM Collection.

Let’s make a jump into the Saxon Quinn artwork BALLET, THE PUB, ICECREAM, SCREAM:

“Thursdays we do ballet after school so Nina + Luna can be heard yelling + laughing in class... we finish off with a pub meal with friends then ice cream which always ends in sugar rush exhaustion melt down”

Raised by his Australian artist mother, Quinn is a self-taught mixed-media artist fascinated by the rough, the worn, and the resilient. His practice echoes the spirit of the CoBrA artists of the 1940s and 1950s, who challenged the cool conceptualism of the art world by embracing the primal energy and vivid colour found in children’s drawings.

Working primarily with canvas, graphite, and paint, Saxon layers hues, symbols, and textures to create works that move between intention and spontaneity, minimalism and uninhibited expression. Each piece combines meaningful motifs with touches of mischievous humour, where every mark reflects fragments of his life. Carefully arranged, these elements create a sensory balance - a calming constellation within a world of perceived chaos.

New works by Mia Pensa just landed - and they are absolutely incredible. ✨

Drawing from her sketchbooks and earlier archives, Pensa constructs figures and forms that gradually emerge through layers of brushwork and erasure. Broad strokes dissolve into intricate patterns, where arabesque motifs and textile-like structures frame the compositions. This balance between control and intuition places Pensa within a feminine lineage of artistic sensibility, where material sensitivity and ornament become carriers of meaning and emotion.
