As Paris Art Week unfolds, we look back at 𝕺 𝕭𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖉𝖔 residency in Berlin and Rhythm & Skin, his first European solo exhibition, presented at 69salon by KORNFELD .

Rooted in graffiti and Afro-Brazilian culture, his paintings explore identity, collective memory and everyday life.

This week, his work returns to the Paris spotlight as part of A Gentil Carioca’s presentation at Art Basel Paris.

In Hungry, Antonia Wright turns an ordinary act of eating into a performance centered on the body, consumption and excess.
Here, a familiar action is pushed through duration and repetition, allowing something almost surreal to emerge from the everyday.

Studio visit with Youjin Yi

A first look at the new works for her upcoming 2nd solo exhibition at 68projects. Youjin’s paintings feel more open and vulnerable than ever - moving between memory, nature and imagination.

What stayed with me most was our conversation about where we are going in life, and how much we are willing to confront our own finitude. These questions quietly enter the paintings: beauty and fragility, presence and disappearance, life and its inevitable limits.

Very much looking forward to seeing these works come together for Back When Tigers Used to Smoke, opening 30 October at 68projects by KORNFELD Galerie Berlin

Bringing painting and video into dialogue, Franziska Klotz and Antonia Wright approach the body and its surroundings as places where power becomes visible.
Franziska Klotz painted figures inhabit spaces marked by intimacy, tension and social structures, while Antonia Wright turns to the body itself as a site of vulnerability, transformation and resistance.

Together, their works ask what it means to remain present when familiar structures begin to lose their stability.
