The City of Waterloo Museum is dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of local and national history through engaging exhibitions, community partnerships, and programming. The museum is committed to telling inclusive and diverse stories that reflect the many voices and experiences that have shaped Waterloo’s past and present. e traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Chonnonton Peoples. Our museum recognizes that the history of this land did not begin with European settlement, and we are committed to sharing stories that honour Indigenous presence, knowledge, and contributions—past and ongoing. If you haven't visited the 1820 Log Cabin in Waterloo Park yet, this is your last window to explore our summer exhibit, Timbers in Time. We are teaming up with the Waterloo Public Library one last time to bring you an afternoon packed with local history and live story readings! 📖
✨ Don't miss out on your final opportunity to:
🏫 Explore the Schoolhouse: Discover what it was like inside Waterloo’s very first one-room schoolhouse.
🕊️ Trace the History: Learn how this tiny log cabin served as a vital home for Black freedom seekers.
