City of Waterloo Museum We are a vibrant community museum with ever-changing exhibits and engaging programs. Exhibition hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The City of Waterloo Museum is dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of local and national history through engaging exhibitions, community partnerships, and programming. The museum is committed to telling inclusive and diverse stories that reflect the many voices and experiences that have shaped Waterloo’s past and present. We acknowledge that the City of Waterloo is situated on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Chonnonton Peoples. Our museum recognizes that the history of this land did not begin with European settlement, and we are committed to sharing stories that honour Indigenous presence, knowledge, and contributions—past and ongoing. Located at Conestoga Mall—the museum offers free admission and ever-changing exhibitions that explore the city’s unique heritage. The City of Waterloo Museum is the place to discover, learn about, and celebrate the diverse history and stories that continue to define Waterloo’s identity—past, present, and future. Join us in person to chat about your thoughts, ideas and dreams for Waterloo Park as we update the park plan, which will guide how the park grows and changes between now and 2050.

You're welcome to join one or all sessions. Registering in advance helps us to plan, but you're also free to drop in. On-site childcare will be provided.

We are incredibly proud to feature Gurnoor Kaur in our local Women in STEM spotlight! Gurnoor is a Grade 11 student at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute who is already making national waves in medical technology.

📍 On the Poster:
"Kaur is a budding scientist ready to solve big problems. Her grade 11 project solved a 35-year long problem by reducing the mortality rate of patients of colour caused by blood oxygen sensors."

📖 Her Inspiring Story:
Gurnoor noticed the massive challenges nurses face with vital sign monitoring equipment. Inspired to make a change, she developed a groundbreaking, remote camera system to detect hospital-induced delirium by analysing micro-expressions, heart rate, and respiratory rate. She even integrated a conversational chatbot to run reorientation techniques proven to lower delirium risks.

But she didn't stop there. Visit the museum to find out more about her work that earned her the Best Project Award for Innovation at the 2026 Canada-Wide Science Fair. 🏆
