The Clay & Glass is a long-standing site of excellence and a destination for contemporary art for international tourists and regional citizens. We host critically-acclaimed exhibitions that challenge ideas and perceptions of the definitions of art, craft and design today. With an emphasis on Canadian artists, our exhibitions also support international and regional artists. Our Gallery Shop is reco

gnized on its own merits as a fine craft gallery, showing the best of Canadian ceramic and glass work. A relevant and dynamic cultural organization, the Gallery provides supportive education programs to people from across the Region. Using exhibitions as a starting point, individuals develop arts vocabulary, arts appreciation and cultivate confidence in their interpretation of contemporary artworks. People who return to The Clay & Glass many times come to understand that the Gallery is a space with dynamic exhibitions, ever-changing hands-on programs and multiple opportunities for learning.

Enjoy a refreshing drink while getting creative in our studio! No more water stains on your table tops -- create a 4-Piece Ceramic Coaster! Get creative with colour, theme or shapes. Piece's are foodsafe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.

Drink options include: craft beer, prosecco, or a soft drink.

Each workshop includes step-by-step hand-building instruction by our Gallery Instructors—beginners welcome!

🟧 June 25th: Gather at the Gallery (55+): Glass Mosaics
Cut, arrange, glue, and grout! In this session, our instructor will teach each step as the workshop progresses. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of cutting & shaping reclaimed broken glass and glass tiles with mosaic nippers to create a design of your choice.

Gather at the Gallery is a monthly event presented specifically for the 55+ community. There will be opportunities to express your own creativity through a variety of hands on workshops, meet artists and hear their stories, or preview new exhibitions.

🌸 June 20th: Honeycomb Stained Glass Suncatchers
Make a stained glass honeycomb suncatcher using the Tiffany/copper foil construction method. In this workshop you will select your glass, foil, solder, attach jump rings, and clean your suncatcher for the perfect look.

You will be working with pre-cut and pre-ground glass hexagons. Choose 7 pieces to make a honeycomb cluster, a flower, or your own design!

No kiln firing for this one! You'll make & take your artwork home after the workshop.
