James Rottman Fine Art has been advising clients on fine art collections since 1995. We specialize in the representation and sales of important Canadian post-war and contemporary art. James Rottman Fine Art holds an impressive inventory of significant Canadian artworks, including but not limited to Painters Eleven, Automatistes, Regina Five, Quebec moderns, and historical Isaac’s gallery artists.

Just had a wonderful visit with the great abstract painter Joseph Drapell at his studio seen here, now 86 years old. Joseph has had an illustrious career exhibiting his works in prominent galleries in the United States, Europe and Canada since the early 1970s. Joseph has always pushed the boundaries of painting and the definition of abstraction. Always surprising his audience with interesting new materials and new themes in his work, including ideas on war, love, hope, cosmology and freedom. We are excited to present an upcoming exhibition of his incredible work opening October 24 at the gallery. Stay tuned!

Gorgeous large scale paintings on exhibit at the gallery this summer until Sept. 12. Here we are featuring 3 paintings in the exhibition that evoke the feeling and mood of summer, including Renata Wozniak's exuberant large floral titled " Singing Yellows", Jessica Levman's serene composition "Widening Circles IV" influenced by the artist's Newfoundland vistas, and Douglas Haynes (1936 - 2016) abstract "Paco's Sky", influenced by the artist's extensive travels through Spain.

Our Summer Group Exhibition is by Appointment Only in August, however we resume our regular gallery hours in September.
