With his current exhibition “The Sky Does Not Bend” (on view now until May 17 at The Cardinal Gallery in Toronto), Harruthoonyan presents analog, toned silver gelatin works using layered exposures and darkroom manipulation. Juliana Dizaji is an attentive, social-justice focused photographer with a passion for shedding light on the overlooked and hidden delights of our world. Her photography inspires the viewer to feel the motion of the lens, letting the sway of one’s imagination carry you through the emotion in the frame. She crafts a balance between light and dark in her pursuit for the truth beneath the surface and possesses the creative drive to push her photography into moments of radical honesty, radical joy, and radical depth.

Abdulsalam Jabr is as inventive in photography as he is in spirit. He has a deep fascination with the deep blues of our world: in the overlooked ‘blues’ of society to the deep hues across graffitied walls, and even the crystalline blues of a clear sky. Capturing memories, finding joy in the absurd, quiet, and hidden moments of the mundane, inspires Abdulsalam’s approach.

Timothy Dithunya is a 17-year-old photographer and clothing designer. The overlooked, blind spots in society inspire his designs and passion for capturing the world around him. Showing alternate perspectives, making clear the ‘taboos’ around us, and spreading awareness about mental health and the unspoken drive him to create and inspire change.
