the plumb is a DIY artist-run project dedicated to offering a surplus of space in a city where space is at a premium—particularly for artists, community organizers, and marginalized groups. We are interested in providing exhibition space to emerging artists, fostering dialogues with established voices, and providing a platform for culturally diverse artists and curators. We are also interested in

hosting community-based projects and programs such as workshops, performances, public talks, and discussion groups.

In this exhibition no work is hung on the wall, no work is suspended from the ceiling, and no work is sitting on a plinth. Nothing in this exhibition is being supported, the work is all at rest. As viewers enter the north and south galleries at The Plumb they are confronted with art objects, sculptures, and ceramics placed idly on the ground. These forms still carry histories, meaning, and memories, and desire to communicate but perhaps they do so in a different frequency than one may expect. Be gentle, come closer, listen softly. These forms have something to say to you even in rest.

Come party this Friday December 5th, 7pm - 10pm to celebrate and purchase your raffle tickets at the party!

Raffles Ticket:
1 Ticket for $5
5 tickets for $20
15 tickets for 50

Or you can purchase them in advance (e-transfer with your name and email to [email protected]) by Thursday Dec 4th at midnight to be included in the draw. The raffle will close at the end of the plumbraiser party on Friday December 5th and draw of winners will be done IRL at the plumb (if you are not present for the draw - you still win and we will contact you!!!)

Can you believe we are at 🌟 plumbraiser 6.0 🌟!!!! We are very excited to host our 6th (!!) annual online Instagram auction

Dates:
💜Opening Preview Party: Friday December 5th from 7-10pm
💜Weekend Preview Hours: Saturday December 6 and 7 from 2-5pm .
💜Auction Runs: December 6th - December 17th.

How it works: The auction take place entirely on Instagram. Groups of artwork by local artists will be revealed on Instagram, with each group open for bidding for exactly 36 hours.

We’ll share the full artist lineup and grouping schedule in the coming weeks 🎉 stay tuned to our Instagram page!

All the funds raised go towards supporting our programming and operating costs for 2026 💜
